The Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens hosted an Arts for Kids festival...
think lots of nature activities, crafts, things like that.
Nate was out of town last Saturday so we decided to hit the town!
Blaire and her shadow. Friend or foe? She hasn't decided.
I literally had to hold on to Blaire's shirt while they looked at the fish.
I did NOT feel like swimming!
What do kids do who want paint but not sure about on their face?
Hand painting...it's the newest trend!
A break for puppets from the one and only, Mother Nature.
She was quite pretty and she had a great show.
Awaiting a tractor hayride...she buckled when we got ready to load.
She wasn't sure where it was going and wanted no part of it.
A pit stop for nature crafts using pine cones, flowers and other wonderful plant items.
It would have been awesome if that craft glue actually worked on pine cones! ;)
One of the great parts of the festival was the KC Zoo tent.
A big turtle? Oh no, they made sure we knew it was a "tortoise" actually.
The kids loved it!
We love new fall events in town...makes the weekend even more exciting!

How fun! Fall is so exciting in KC.
ReplyDeleteWe will definitely have to check that one out nest year. There are too many things going on in the Fall!!
